Important PIP mask update

Do the new CDC mask guidelines have you confused?  You are not alone!  We are thrilled with the progress the Covid vaccination plan has led to in our communities – and the new freedoms it may permit as we are eager to get back to the people and activities we have missed!

Keep your mask handy!

Bottom line is – KEEP YOUR MASK HANDY – even if you are immunized, there are going to be many businesses, mass transportation situations, large gatherings, schools, medical and dental offices that will still REQUIRE mask wearing for all over 2 years of age for some time to come. PIP WILL still require that all folks over 2, even if immunized, WEAR MASKS.  It’s not only helped protect our families from Covid-19, but from typical numbers of Flu, RSV and many other airborne illnesses during the past year.  We value the health of our families – mask wear has made a great difference.

As for your family, YES it’s GREAT to finally be able to shed the masks in Colorado in outdoor situations, and in some lower risk venues.  We have all missed your smiles and that feeling of returning to the “new normal” again.
Those 12 yr and older who have been fully vaccinated will be more free to participate in school, sports, camps, travel with less concern about spreading Covid to others.  We at PIP are excited about what this means for our children to return to/stay in school, sports, clubs in 2021-2022.

DO please remember, those who are NOT yet immunized (children less than 12 yr for example and those who’ve not yet yet been 2 weeks out from 2 vaccines of the Moderna or Pfizer type), SHOULD STILL wear masks to help protect themselves, their family members, and the community of neighbors, front line workers, from Covid.

You also want to respect your own sense of safety – if it does not feel right to be in a particular situation with others you may not know, mask up – it’s that simple.

Thank you for all the sacrifices you and your family have made.  Thanks, too, for helping us at PIP continue to protect ALL families by complying with mask wear at PIP for the foreseeable future.
