Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns

WHERE: Hudson Gardens

Presented and produced by The Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns will delight adults and children alike under a magnificent glow of 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins and larger-than-life pumpkin displays. A magical carnival, a nautical sea-scape, a pirate ship, dinosaurs and dragons illuminate the grounds of Hudson Gardens in a soft, inviting glow where you’ll find magic around every corner.

Fright Fest

WHEN: Sept. 30–Oct. 29, 2023

WHERE: Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park

Every October, Elitch Gardens transforms into a frighteningly fun haunted theme park, with family-friendly scares during the day and spine-tingling frights by night. Enjoy Halloween decor, spooky live performances, and all your favorite rides!

Denver Film Festival

WHEN: Nov. 3–12, 2023

WHERE: Sie FilmCenter and other locations in and around Denver

The 46th Denver Film Festival is a 10-day festival presenting film and new media to more than 40,000 guests. The largest regional film festival in the Rocky Mountain region brings international cinema, filmmakers, virtual reality, immersive experiences and creative conversations to Colorado. The Denver Film Festival takes place at four primary locations throughout the city of Denver, with dozens of locations hosting pop-up events to engage audiences in the Denver and Aurora Metro areas, as well as greater Colorado and its surrounding states.

Veteran’s Day Parade and Festival

WHEN: Nov. 11, 2023

WHERE: City Park

This family-friendly event offers free admission, a music stage, kids and family activities, military displays and marketplace vendors. The festival serves as a celebratory “Thank You” to our veterans who have fought to ensure our freedoms.

Berry Patch Farms Fall Festival

WHEN: Tuesdays and Saturdays; Tue 10am to 1pm. Sat 10am to 4pm

Price: Children age 2+ are $7. $2 per adult. Children under 2 are free. Pumpkins are separate.

During the Fall they have Hay rides, straw maze, crafts, games, picnics, scavenger hunts, and more! Available Oct 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 10 am – 4 pm. There is also a Pick Your Own Farm.

Anderson Farms Fall Festival

WHEN: September 21st – October 31st; 10am – 6pm (time depends on the day)

Price: from $17 to $37 depending on day and time.

Visit the Anderson Farms Fall Festival where you can take a barrel ride, combine slide, corn maze, pumpkin canon, pedal karts, farm animals, fire pits, and much much more. Pumpkins are extra!

Treat Street

WHEN: Saturday, October 22, 2022; 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

WHERE: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds Event Center 25690 E Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO 80016

Price: Tickets are $10 per person. Kids under 2 years old are FREE. Wear your Halloween costume and receive FREE entry! Tickets can be purchased online or at the event.

Games and activities, petting farm, live entertainment, costume contest, pumpkin painting, adult beverages, food trucks, and more! First ever HALLO-WEENIE Races where Dachshund dogs will race to the finish line.

Adam’s Apple Orchard and Country Store

Located in Ault, Adam’s Apple Orchard and Country Store offers pick-your-own apples for up to 12 weeks each fall. Walk through the orchard and let your preschooler choose their own apples to pick right off the tree. This memorable activity also teaches your child about where their favorite fruit comes from!

Anderson Farms

Enjoy a day of classic fall activities at Anderson Farms. Children will enjoy taking a ride on the barrel train, walking through the corn maze with mom and dad, climbing on the tire mountain, and jumping aboard a wagon for a ride to the pumpkin patch. Before heading home, make a stop at the fire pit for roasted marshmallows and DIY s’mores.

Boettcher Concert Hall

Promising a “good time for every little monster and their mummy,” Halloween Spooktacular! is presented by the Colorado Symphony at Boettcher Concert Hall. Come listen to this concert that features songs from movies, television, and more. Attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for even more fun!

Colorado Kids Ranch

Spend a fun-filled day at the Colorado Pumpkin Patch. Located just 35 minutes from South Denver at Colorado Kids Ranch, the 40-acre farm has a variety of activities preschoolers and their families can do together, including large outdoor games, steer head roping, and feeding a pig. Before you go, shop for a pumpkin sourced from the best pumpkin growers in the world!

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms

Celebrate fall with the entire family at the Chatfield Farms Pumpkin Festival. Explore the 10-acre pumpkin patch, wind through the corn maze, ride on hay rides, and enjoy a host of activities for children.
